Saudi Arabia is the third largest Arab country in the Middle East in terms of land area; and it is ruled by an Authoritarian form of government. Although censorship continues in the region, in recent years the government allowed some critical stories to be reported by a number of selected journalists in newspapers. Today, newspapers in the region supply a detailed view on current events and news both local and international. These newspapers are basically published nationwide, although there are others are exclusively available in some Saudi Arabian cities.
